Updated: Aug 21, 2021

Carlotta Arradondo, is a woman of many talents. She is novelist, poet, short story teller, publisher and CEO of Black Lines Publishing She was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received her Human Services certificate from Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

Throughout her studies, she felt conflicted. She had a desire to write, but she loved helping people in need. It was her dream and a goal to try and help make the world a better place.

Later she went on to enroll in courses in creative writing and playwriting. She would attend plays periodically just to visualize what her own stories might look like on stage. Carlotta loved to write. She enjoyed it so much she couldn’t put the pen and paper down. Writing was a desire, and completing a novel a dream come true.

Carlotta found her passion for writing at age nine. It was during that time she began to refine her skills for class assignments, and she would sit in the quite of her bedroom to pen short letters to her mother. As she grew older her desire to write increased. She released her debut novel, Yearning, in 2007. Then she went on to revise and re-release Yearning, in 2013 to ensure it looked its level best.

In 2009, Carlotta Arradondo co-authored, Writer’s Block Poetry and Food for Thought, with her son Chance Arradondo and nephew K. Caprice Arradondo. She believed their huge contribution to Writer’s Block, made it an inspiration for young adults and older readers alike. In Writer’s Block, Carlotta discusses a variety of topics, ranging from forgiveness, to the realization of being in an abusive relationship, to love.

Her new book A COMBINATION OF ONE is her second novel, and on sale now.
